Q: Is there a charge for me to call you?

A: No, there is no charge to speak to Jeff or David over the phone.

Q: Is there a charge for my first meeting with Stowman Law Office?

A: No, the initial consultation is also free. When we meet with you, we'll ask you questions, then let you know if we can help you.

Q: How do I know if I even NEED a lawyer?

A: Well, sometimes, a lawyer may not be needed, but you should at least give yourself a chance to learn your rights and visit with an attorney to see if they can assist you.

Q: How long does it normally take for a personal injury case to be settled?

A: That is a tough answer to give, as each case is different in its own way, and depends on many circumstances and situations. The best way to get a more approximate answer, is to set up an appointment with Stowman Law Office.

Q: What is "No fault?"

A: No-fault insurance pays for most out-of-pocket expenses, it doesn't matter who caused the accident. All Minnesota vehicle owners are required to have this insurance, except for motorcycles – they only need liability. Make sure to talk with a lawyer if you are ever injured in an accident.

Q: What is "Wrongful Death?"

A: A lawsuit that is filed due to a death caused by negligence of another party. Basically, if you injure anyone else in an accident, contact a lawyer as soon as possible.

Q: What is "Product Liability" or "Defective Product" claims?

A: The responsibility of a manufacturer or distributor for injury, which is normally a result from a defective product. Examples could be if an air bag didn't deploy in a car accident and someone was severely injured, or if a child was injured from a poorly made toy.
